My most impactful life decisions, in chronological order:

• to have abortions when I needed them

• to get sober

• to give birth to our child

If each life is precious, then

• so is mine

• so is theirs

• so is yours

I am not ashamed, nor do I regret my abortions.

Rather I am grateful for

• access to abortion care

• professional & compassionate providers

• the opportunity to “captain my own ship.”*

What I wish for all of us, and especially for their generation:

• robust reproductive justice, health, and freedom, without stigma or restriction

• an end to heteronormative, patriarchal, white supremacy culture

• love and liberation, in abundance.
