This year, 30 Days of Love showcases the four intersectional justice priorities that shape Side With Love’s work year-round. Get a taste of the array of actions individuals and congregations can engage in through our Action Center by participating in these weekly opportunities to build your skills and work for change together.

  • INDIVIDUAL ACTION: The People’s Response Act, from Congresswomen Cori Bush, Ayanna Pressley, Jan Schakowsky, and Pramila Jayapal, emphasizes an inclusive, holistic, and health-centered approach to public safety by creating a public safety division within the Department of Human Health and Services. Learn more about it and then send an email to your representatives asking them to co-sponsor it.

WEEK 4: Climate Justice

  • INDIVIDUAL ACTION: Sign petitions calling for the removal of the Snake River dams and restoring the salmon populations - Nez Perce Outreach petition, Salmon Orca Project petition, and Columbia Riverkeeper Petition.

  • COLLECTIVE ACTION: Join the UUA, UUMFE, UUSC, UUJEC, UU State Action Networks from IL, KY, MA, ME, OH & VA and three congregations (so far!) in signing the Build Back Fossil Free 2022 Letter to Biden demanding Executive Action on Climate Justice. Deadline February 18th. Encourage your congregation, climate team, or green team to sign! Then commit to expand the movement by encouraging partner organizations to sign the BBFF 2022 Letter to Biden.
