Drumroll please… announcing our new website!

Dear friends,

Over the past few months, we have been busy at work creating a brand new website for Standing on the Side of Love. We are excited to let you know that the soft launch of our new site is… today!

Our major goal in redesigning our website is to better provide you with updated resources you can easily access, feel inspired by and bring to your congregations and communities. Last fall, we asked for feedback from the Standing on the Side of Love community on what you want to see next in the campaign and your thoughtful suggestions have guided our work, especially as we have redesigned the website to be more helpful to you!

Many of our colleagues and friends have spent the past few days in Selma Marching in the Arc of Justice as part of the 50th anniversary of the voting rights campaign. We are launching our site with powerful images fresh from Selma, so click here to check it out!

Let’s take a peek behind the scenes with this graphic doodle our Campaign Coordinator Nora Rasman created that shares the journey of our website creation:

As you can see, this has been a labor of love, driven by our vision to better support Love Activists all across the country who are working together to create the beloved community. We often feel the most inspired by powerful images, and we know that photos and graphics help to tell important stories, so we have made visual story-telling a bigger feature of our site with our new Love in Images section.

You may have also seen that the Unitarian Universalist Association has a new website too, including updated social justice pages with tons of great resources, including some that used to live on the SSL website. We are excited that with all of these updates, important resources like our Collective Visioning Guide are now easier to find!

We are calling this a soft launch because it is still evolving, and we need feedback from you to let us know what you love and what you think can be improved. Stay in touch, poke around the new site, and let us know what you think!

We’re excited to keep growing and building this campaign on the side of love with you.

In faith,

Jen and Nora
