The Future of Standing on the Side of Love
In 2009, Standing on the Side of Love was launched with the goal of harnessing love’s power to challenge exclusion, oppression, and violence based on sexual orientation, gender identity, immigration status, race, religion, or any other identity.
Since that time, Standing on the Side of Love has collaborated with and supported Unitarian Universalists, people of faith and conscience to learn, connect and take action for justice & equity within and across communities.

The broadest and deepest intersectional social justice movement for Black liberation of my lifetime has emerged and continues to grow. And we’re thinking about what it means for the Campaign. We’re asking questions like:
- How will we show up in solidarity- as accompaniers, supporters and leaders- to this Movement
- How have and will people of faith and conscience show up in this Movement?
- How can our open source format assist in mobilizing people within and beyond Unitarian Universalism?
- How can Standing on the Side of Love resource and support Unitarian Universalists who are already part of this Movement?
As we ask these major questions, we also want to know what you think. The success of the campaign has always been connected to the love, support and engagement of our supporters like you. Let us know what you love, what could be better and what you think about the future of Standing on the Side of Love. Click here to take our short survey.
With love & gratitude,
