Solidarity Stances: Recording and Resources from The Gathering, September 2025
We are so grateful for the many ways that Unitarian Universalists and friends are practicing solidarity these days, and especially grateful for the chance to deepen our understanding of solidarity stances with Deepa Iyer and Nicole Pressley at this months’ Gathering. We hope you were inspired by Parker Woodlands’ music, the Zoom full of folks seeking to live our faith with courage and integrity, and by the insights and invitations from Deepa and Nicole.
If you missed us live, you can watch the recording and view the presentation slides. We encourage you to bookmark the webpage for The Gathering to see all the dates, a promotion kit, recordings, crisis resources, and links.
As we said at The Gathering, our faith calls us to practice solidarity and stay in relationship to kindle hope. Here are the next steps we invited you into:
Ground yourself. What is 1 thing you will do to tend to your spirit and regulate this week?
Amplify. What is something you will share with 3 people tomorrow?
Tool to take back: Solidarity Stances: A Resource for Organizations and Movements Navigating Authoritarian Conditions
I invite you to let us know which of these actions (or others!) you are taking this month, and be sure to read our Action Center Weekly Update for specific actions you can take this week. We publish the update every Tuesday on our Action Center.

The strength of our movements has always been found in our ability to come together. May we continue acting in wider and wider networks of solidarity, and we will see you again in October. May we dedicate ourselves to love today and always,
