Decriminalization & Immigration
Core Principle: Criminalization and dehumanization deny the dignity of our communities. Safety cannot come at the expense of others. As people of faith, we proclaim a future of care, abundance, and mutuality—not domination.
The Update:
The unprovoked US/Israeli attack on Iran threatens to spread into a wider war. Congress narrowly rejected a War Powers Resolution that would have curbed the President’s agenda. As people of faith, we have our eyes and hearts on the civilians and the soldiers needlessly killed. In order to stop the war abroad and the violence of ICE at home, we must take down the pillars supporting this illegal and immoral administration.
Take Action:
Make Three Calls to Stop the Save Act. In the last session of Congress, the House passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which remains a harmful attempt to make voting harder and elections more difficult to administer. Take action now to oppose SAVE Act 2.0.
Join and build networks for rapid response to ICE raids and attacks. This website has mapped out guides from the Twin Cities and Chicago organizers engaged in rapid response to ICE raids and attacks. Don’t forget to S.A.L.U.T.E!
